Role Overview

We currently have great opportunities across our manufacturing sites for experienced upholsterers, to work as part of our skilled and dependable upholstery team, contributing to the production of crafted upholstered furniture to the correct specification and quality standards. 

The position plays a key role and is perfect for anyone who wants a varied and rewarding opportunity, in a physically active role in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll be Doing

Someone with over 2 years’ experience, working in a similar fast-paced environment. Capability to work flexibly in all areas – ‘Arm’, ‘Middle’ or ‘End’ preferred, although your preference will be taken into consideration for track placement.

First-class modern upholstery techniques including:

  • Ability to work with numerous fabrics
  • Using varied cutting techniques
  • Using various compressed air tools
  • Good maintenance of tools
  • Skilled stapling techniques
  • Quality webbing application techniques
  • Quality spring application
  • Delivering best in class finishing quality using various techniques including seam turning, clearing ends & tack drag
  • A keen eye for detail with knowledge of defects & detection
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Ensuring high-quality standards in all that you do
  • Taking pride in what you do with a ‘right first time’ mentality
  • Ensuring good housekeeping and cleanliness of working area
  • Maintaining and promoting safe working standards with an absolute commitment to your own and others’ safety
  • Someone with a flexible approach in order to meet production performance requirements
  • Embrace a diverse range of operational tasks and show flexibility to use your skills to support business needs
