What You'll be Doing

Based at our South Normanton site, reporting to the Frames Supervisor, the main purpose of this role is to drive between the manufacturing sites to deliver frames required for daily production.

  • Delivering frames in time to meet production deadlines
  • Ensure correct items & quantities are loaded
  • Load/unload vehicle (with assistance if required) in line with manual handling guidelines
  • Drive vehicle in a safe manner following traffic rules and regulations
  • Liaise with Goods In and out staff throughout the day
  • Perform daily checks on vehicle and report any defects immediately to Transport operations supervisor (Neil Jones).
  • Keep vehicle clean & maintained at all times
  • Responsible for your own and others Health & Safety at work
  • Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained
  • You may be asked to carry out additional tasks within your capability, in order to meet the needs of the business.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate must be over 25 and have a full clean driving license and have an excellent attendance & timekeeping record, be able to remain calm under pressure and have a pleasant, positive and helpful manner.  Excellent communication skills are paramount to this role.

Must have experience of driving a 7.5 tonne (CAT C1) licence with a valid Drivers Card and Drivers CPC.
